The Banner Engineering Q45BW22DLQ (PN 37012) is a long-range diffuse-mode photoelectric sensor in the Q45 Series. It detects objects by backscatter from its emitted infrared beam (880 nm) and is suitable for applications like presence detection on conveyors and packaging lines where the target provides enough reflectivity. The sensor offers a sensing distance of up to 1.8 meters and operates from 90 to 250 VAC with a SPST solid-state relay output. Wiring is via a 3-wire configuration with a 2 m cable, and it provides a 3-pin 7/8 in-16 UNF quick-disconnect connection (QD); a DLQ1 variant with a 4-pin QD is available as an alternative. Common use cases include detecting parts on fast-moving production lines and other industrial automation tasks that require a robust diffuse-reflection sensor in a rectangular housing.
