The Banner Engineering QMT42VN6FF2000Q Fixed Field Sensor is a rugged, 10–30 V DC proximity sensor designed for industrial environments, delivering a defined 2000 mm sensing field with a fixed cutoff point and fast response. Encased in a zinc alloy die‑cast housing with IP67 protection (NEMA 6), it withstands dust, water and harsh conditions while maintaining reliable performance. It provides SPDT (complementary) NPN outputs through a 4‑pin M12 integral quick‑disconnect and uses an 880 nm infrared sensing beam for detection. The device operates from 10 to 30 V DC, with a 1 ms output response time and roughly 250 μs repeatability, and tolerates temperatures from −20 °C to 55 °C with up to 90% humidity at 50 °C. As part of the QM42/QMT42 Fixed Field family, it offers long-range sensing in fixed-field mode, ideal for monitoring objects within the 2000 mm range while ignoring those beyond the field. Dual LEDs indicate sensor status and there is a Power‑On indicator; note that this model is not intended for personnel protection applications.
