QS30AFF400Q delivers reliable 400 mm long-range detection with adjustable foreground suppression in a rectangular, M30-mount thermoplastic housing. It operates on 10-30 V DC and provides a bipolar output (NPN and PNP) through an integral 5-pin M12 quick disconnect, simplifying wiring in tight automation layouts. The 660 nm visible red beam supports light/dark operation with an adjustable cutoff range from 50 to 400 mm, and Foreground Suppression helps discriminate foreground targets from challenging backgrounds. The sensor is IP67 and NEMA 4X rated, rated for -20 to 60 C, with a 5 ms response time, 200 ms power-up delay, and a repeatability of 750 μs; the lens is acrylic, and the unit supports up to 95% relative humidity at 50 C. This model is not intrinsically safe and does not include Remote Teach. Typical applications include presence detection and part sensing on automation lines where background reflections might cause false triggers.
