Banner Engineering S18UUAQ is a compact 18 mm barrel ultrasonic sensor in the U-GAGE S18U family, delivering precise distance measurement with a 0-10 V analog output. Sensing range is 30 to 300 mm, making it suitable for small-bottle filling, packaging, and material-handling tasks where space is limited. It operates on 12–30 V DC and uses a 5-pin M12 quick-disconnect, with a straight M18 barrel thread for easy mounting, and it carries IP67/NEMA 4X protection for tough industrial environments. The sensor uses time-of-flight ultrasonic technology at 300 kHz and supports TEACH-mode programming and background suppression to fine-tune detection windows; response times begin at about 2.5 ms. With a temperature-compensated design and clearly visible indicators during setup and operation, the S18UUAQ provides a straightforward interface to PLC analog inputs for level or gap detection on containers or packages.
