SBC1 is Banner Engineering’s Multi-BEAM convergent-mode scanner block designed for reflective sensing in a 3/4-wire configuration. Focused at 38 mm (1.5 in) in front of the lens, this infrared LED sensor delivers higher gain with a narrow depth of field, and its input and output are defined by the power block it pairs with. In Banner’s SBC1 family, performance specs include a repeatability of 0.3 ms and a 1 ms response time. Common applications include precise positioning, edge-guiding, and small-part detection on conveyors or fixtures when used with an appropriate power block.
