The SBD1 is Banner Engineering’s MULTI-BEAM 3/4-Wire Scanner Block—Diffuse, engineered for short-range sensing in diffuse mode. It detects objects up to 0.3 m (12 in) away using an infrared 940 nm beam and provides a fast 1 ms response with a relatively wide field of view typical of diffuse sensors. This modular scanner block requires a separate power block and logic module to complete the sensor system, with 3/4‑wire input/output defined by the connected power block and interconnecting pins.
