Banner Engineering SBDL1 17626 Multi Beam Diffuse Scanner Block Sensor

The Banner Engineering SBDL1 17626 MULTI-BEAM Scanner Block in the diffuse family is a modular, 3/4-Wire scanner block designed to sense presence or position of objects within a diffuse field. It provides a 0.6 m (60 cm, 24 in) sensing range and must be used with a separate power block and logic module—the input and output depend on the power block chosen. The infrared beam operates at 940 nm for diffuse detection and, according to the Multi-Beam diffuse specifications, offers about 1 ms response time with roughly 0.3 ms repeatability. On the scanner block you’ll find sensitivity adjustment and a light/dark operate selector, plus a status/alignment indicator to facilitate setup. Not intended for personnel protection, this model is geared toward intermediate-range, fast-response sensing in automation and manufacturing lines, such as conveyors or part-detection stations. When integrated with compatible amplifiers and logic modules, the SBDL1 delivers a compact, configurable solution for reliable object sensing in challenging backdrops where diffuse reflection is used.
