Banner Engineering SBFX1 16652 Fiber Optic Scanner Block

SBFX1 is Banner Engineering’s MULTI-BEAM: 3/4-Wire Fiber Optic Scanner Block for glass-fiber sensing. The block contains both an emitter and a receiver and accepts either one bifurcated fiber optic assembly or two individual fiber cables; sensing range and output are determined by the connected power block, and interconnecting pins provide the interface to Banner-compatible amplifiers. As part of the MULTI-BEAM family, SBFX1 supports multiple sensing configurations—including opposed, retroreflective, diffuse, convergent, and glass-fiber optic modes—for flexible fiber sensing with a range that depends on the fiber. Documentation for integration includes CAD files (PDF and STP) and a data sheet. The model is designed to work with Banner’s interchangeable power blocks and timing/logic modules to tailor response timing to the application.
