Banner Engineering SBFX1-16652 Multi-Beam Fiber Optic Scanner

The SBFX1-16652 is Banner Engineering’s MULTI-BEAM Glass Fiber Optic Scanner Block that integrates both emitter and receiver in a single unit for fiber-optic sensing. As a 3/4-wire scanner block, it accepts either one bifurcated fiber optic assembly or two individual fibers, with the range and output determined by the connected power block and the fiber used. Designed for glass fiber optic applications, it supports opposed-mode and diffuse-mode sensing with infrared light at 880 nm. Typical performance includes a 10 ms response time and a repeatability of 1.5 ms, with beam patterns and excess gain curves described in the MULTI-BEAM family documentation. Fiber recommendations include standard bundles of 1.5 mm (0.060 in) and 3 mm (0.12 in) in diameter, and the model can accommodate miniature bifurcated assemblies with diameters as small as 0.020 in (0.5 mm) for certain diffuse-mode configurations.
