Banner Engineering SC22-3 Safety Controller Module

The Banner Engineering SC22-3 Safety Controller Module is a 24V DC configurable safety controller that consolidates 22 inputs and three pairs of safety outputs in a single compact unit, designed to coordinate complex multi-device safety circuits. It can monitor both contact-based and PNP solid-state sensors, with inputs configurable for non-safety use or for Control Reliability and safety circuit performance per ISO 13849-1 (Categories 2–4). Three safety-output pairs provide safe-control channels that can be configured for one- or two-channel external device monitoring with ON-delay or OFF-delay logic, while ten auxiliary status outputs (1 A total) support signaling and interlock status. The system also offers 32 configurable virtual status outputs, plus a built-in Live Display and Fault Log for real-time fault history, helping operators diagnose issues quickly. Networking is built in via RJ45 Ethernet to access Fault Log and system parameters, with compatibility for Modbus/TCP, Ethernet/IP and PCCC, and an Auto Configuration option to simplify setup. Configuration can be performed on the module with the on-board LCD and push buttons, or remotely through Banner’s PC Interface for streamlined programming and monitoring. This combination of abundant I/O, configurable safety logic, and flexible networking makes the SC22-3 well-suited to guarding, emergency-stop integration, and safety monitoring in mid- to large-scale manufacturing environments.
