SI-LS42DMI is Banner Engineering's locking-style safety interlock switch designed for guards and safe access doors on industrial machinery. It features a solenoid-driven lock with 24 V ac/dc voltage and a contact configuration of 2 NC and 1 NO plus 1 NC monitor contact, enabling gate monitoring and interlock logic that prevents machine restart if the guard is not securely closed. The compact body measures 170 x 43 x 45 mm with a thermoplastic housing, and it carries an IP67 rating for protection against dust and immersion in water. It operates from -25 to 70 °C and supports safety integrity requirements up to Cat 4, PL e, and SIL CL 3, with an extraction force of 1500 N to resist door opening forces. Electrical ratings include a rated operating current of 4.4 VA and a monitored lock function that helps prevent unintended re-energization due to wiring or switch faults.
