Banner Engineering SI-LS83MRFD Safety Interlock Switch

The Banner Engineering SI-LS83MRFD is a compact plastic safety interlock switch designed to guard machine access. With an 83 × 30 × 31 mm thermoplastic housing and IP65 protection, it withstands dust and exposure in typical industrial environments. The MRFD variant is part of the SI-LS83 series, a Type 1 ISO 14119 interlock with positive-opening safety contacts suitable for interlocking or position monitoring when used with a compatible safety controller. It features a flexible actuator that can be rotated in 90° increments for top, front, back, or side mounting, and provides 1 NC/1 NO safety contacts in a wiring-chamber configuration. The switch carries PL e, SIL CL 3, and Cat 4 safety ratings, operates from -30 to 80 °C, and has SISTEMA B10d of 2 million cycles. Typical applications include monitoring sliding gates and guards on machines and in safety fencing systems; it is not washdown rated.
