Banner Engineering SI-MAG1SM Magnetic Safety Switch

SI-MAG1SM is Banner Engineering’s non‑contact magnetic safety interlock switch in the SI‑MAG series, built in a rectangular thermoplastic housing measuring 88 × 25 × 13 mm with a 10 ft (3 m) cable. It provides a reed‑relay output with 1 NC/1 NO safety contacts and is intended for use with Banner safety interfaces such as SI‑MAG1MMxx actuators or compatible controllers (or the GM‑FA‑10J safety relay) to safeguard machine openings. The device is IP67 rated for washdown environments, operates from −25 °C to 70 °C, and uses a 4‑pin cabling configuration. With a PL e safety rating, SIL CL 3, and Cat 4 safety category, it is designed for high‑integrity safeguarding applications. The calming mechanical life is specified at 300 million operations, and the switching range is described as Sao/Sar in the 4–14 mm region.
