Banner Engineering SL30VB6VQ is a 30 mm-wide fork-style slot sensor in the SL10/SL30 series that houses an emitter and receiver in a single thermoplastic body for reliable presence detection in confined slots. It operates on 10–30 V DC and provides bipolar outputs (one NPN and one PNP) through a 5-pin M12 integral quick-disconnect, enabling straightforward wiring to common controls, with a sensing range up to 30 mm and a minimum detectable object of 2 mm, a 1 ms response time, and 250 µs repeatability. The device supports light/dark operate, features status LEDs, and offers IP67 protection (NEMA 4X) with an operating temperature range of -40 to 70 C and humidity up to 90% at 50 C. Key mechanicals include a slot depth/array length of 45 mm and overall depths of 52 mm (slot) and 72 mm (with QD), plus potentiometer adjustment; remote teach is not supported.
