Banner Engineering SM2A312W Photoelectric Sensor

SM2A312W is Banner Engineering's MINI-BEAM Divergent Diffuse photoelectric sensor with a 130 mm (5 in) sensing range, designed for compact presence/absence detection on automation equipment. It is a self-contained unit that operates from 24 to 240 VAC and provides a SPST solid-state two-wire output, enabling direct connection to PLCs or control circuits. The Divergent Diffuse sensing mode produces a focused field to reduce background interference, and the device ships with a 2 m (6.5 ft) cable for easy integration. As part of Banner's MINI-BEAM AC Voltage Series, the SM2A312W combines a small footprint with robust sensing performance for industrial environments, well-suited to short-range object detection where space is at a premium.
