The SM2A31R is Banner Engineering’s MINI-BEAM AC Voltage Series opposed-receiver photoelectric sensor, designed to work with the SMA31E emitter in a through-beam configuration. It operates from 24 to 240 VAC with a solid-state SPST output, while the SMA31E emitter projects an infrared beam at 880 nm up to 3 m (10 ft); the SM2A31R receiver has no LED indicator and provides a matching SPST solid-state output for wiring in a 2-wire configuration. A variant, the SM2A31R-W-30, is available with a longer 9 m (30 ft) cable to accommodate installations with greater emitter-receiver distance.
