Banner Engineering SM2A31RQD Mini-Beam Photoelectric Sensor

Banner Engineering SM2A31RQD Mini-Beam Receiver is a compact, self-contained through-beam photoelectric sensor designed to operate in opposed-mode pairs with the SMA31E emitter. It provides a 3 m (10 ft) sensing range when used with the matching emitter, and it runs from 24–240 VAC with a SPST solid-state SCR output that can switch up to 300 mA. The unit uses a 3-pin Micro-style Quick Disconnect (QD) connector for easy wiring, and the infrared beam operates at 880 nm. Built for industrial environments, the receiver carries IEC IP67 protection and meets NEMA 1, 2, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 requirements, making it suitable for conveyors, packaging lines, and other automation tasks that require reliable presence/absence sensing.
