Banner Engineering SM312C2QD is a compact MINI-BEAM photoelectric sensor that uses convergent-mode detection for precise, short-range sensing. It operates from 10 to 30 V DC and provides bipolar outputs (one NPN, one PNP) through a 4-pin M12 integral quick-disconnect (QD) connector. The sensor uses an infrared emitter at 880 nm and offers a 16 mm sensing range with a fixed focus, making it suitable for tight detection zones in small-part applications. As part of the SM312 family, this convergent variant excels at presence/absence checks on conveyors, in packaging lines, and in compact automation cells where space is at a premium.
