Banner Engineering SM312CVG Photoelectric Sensor

The Banner Engineering SM312CVG Mini-Beam Photoelectric Sensor is a compact DC-powered convergent-mode detector that uses a visible green beam (525 nm) focused at 16 mm to sense small parts in tight spaces, such as conveyors or pick-and-place stations. It operates from 10–30 V DC and provides bipolar discrete outputs (1 NPN and 1 PNP) over a 2 m (6.5 ft) cable with four pins, and it supports light/dark operation. The rectangular thermoplastic housing with an M18 mount is rated IP67 and NEMA 4X for rugged environments. Sensing distance is 16 mm in convergent mode, the lens is acrylic, and the unit is part of Banner’s MINI-BEAM DC Voltage Series. Electrical performance includes a 1 ms output response time, 100 ms power-up delay, and 300 µs repeatability. Operating temperature ranges from -20 to 70 °C, with humidity up to 90% at 50 °C.
