Banner Engineering SM312D Photoelectric Sensor

The Banner Engineering SM312D Mini-Beam diffuse photoelectric sensor is a compact, self-contained DC-powered detector designed for reliable object presence sensing within a 380 mm diffuse sensing range. It operates on 10–30 V DC and provides bipolar outputs (1 NPN and 1 PNP) via a 4-wire connection, with a 2 m (6.5 ft) integral cable for straightforward installation. The housing is rectangular with an M18 mounting option and is rated IP67 (NEMA 4X) for rugged industrial environments. The sensing beam is infrared and the unit is part of Banner’s MINI-BEAM DC Voltage Series configured specifically for diffuse-mode detection. With four electrical connections, it can be integrated with Banner amplifiers or compatible controllers, making it suitable for proximity sensing on conveyors, packaging lines, and other compact automation fixtures where space is at a premium and reliable sensing is essential.
