Banner Engineering SM312DBZ is a Mini-Beam Series diffuse photoelectric sensor built for compact, reliable small-part detection in automation lines. It operates from a 10–30 V DC supply and uses diffuse-mode sensing to detect targets up to 300 mm away, with a 15 mm beam footprint optimized for small parts. The unit provides dual bipolar outputs—one NPN and one PNP—for convenient interfacing to either sinking or sourcing logic, and it ships with a 2 m (6.5 ft) cable for straightforward wiring. As part of Banner’s Mini-Beam DC Voltage family, the SM312DBZ integrates into tight mounting envelopes and supports quick replacement in fielded systems.
