Banner Engineering SM312DQD Photoelectric Sensor

The Banner Engineering SM312DQD Photoelectric Sensor is a diffuse infrared sensor in the MINI-BEAM SM31 Series designed for non-contact object detection in industrial automation. It uses an 880 nm infrared LED with a sensing range up to 380 mm and operates from 10–30 VDC, delivering bipolar NPN and PNP outputs rated to 150 mA per channel, with a 1 ms response time. The sensor features adjustable sensitivity via a potentiometer and selectable Light or Dark operate, plus a 4-pin M12 quick-disconnect connector and an IP67-rated rectangular housing with an M18 threaded lens mount for panel or bracket mounting. Operating from -20°C to 70°C in harsh industrial environments, it is commonly used for conveyors, packaging machines, assembly stations, pallet handling, and other material-handling applications requiring diffuse-mode sensing and reliable position feedback.
