Banner Engineering SM312FPH Fiber Optic Amplifier

The SM312FPH MINI-BEAM Fiber Optic Amplifier from Banner Engineering is a compact, 10–30 V DC-powered fiber-optic amplifier that converts a light transition detected by a connected fiber into a discrete output. It features a thermoplastic rectangular housing with a 2 m attached cable and carries IP67 and NEMA 4X protection for use in demanding environments. It accepts unterminated plastic fibers or T5 termination and supports plastic fiber optic sensing, with a red LED indicator on the amplifier to show status. The output is bipolar NPN/PNP, enabling straightforward wiring to controllers or PLC inputs, and the unit is part of Banner’s MINI-BEAM DC Voltage Series. Designed for tight spaces or fiber-based sensing tasks, it enables reliable detection of presence or absence through a fiber optic link, even where direct line-of-sight is not possible.
