Banner Engineering's SM312FQD is a MINI-BEAM fiber-optic photoelectric sensor that uses a glass fiber optic and an infrared 880 nm emitter/receiver to detect the presence of small parts at the sensing point. It is powered by 10–30 V DC and provides bipolar outputs (1 NPN and 1 PNP) through a 4-pin M12 integral quick-disconnect (QD) connector. Sensing range is determined by the fiber used, making it suitable for compact, remote sensing in tight spaces.
