Banner Engineering SM312FVG Photoelectric Sensor

The Banner Engineering SM312FVG Mini-Beam fiber-optic photoelectric sensor uses a visible green 525 nm emitter and a plastic-fiber optic probe to sense the presence or absence of objects in tight spaces. As part of Banner's MINI-BEAM DC Voltage Series, this sensor operates on 10–30 V DC and provides two switching outputs (NPN and PNP) via a 2 m (6.5 ft) cable, enabling both sinking and sourcing configurations in a single package. The unit includes a visible green indicator LED and supports selectable dark-on or light-on operation to suit varying target reflectivity and lighting conditions. The sensing range is determined by the fiber optic cable and installation, allowing flexible routing around equipment where space is limited.
