The Banner Engineering SM312LPQDP is a compact Mini-Beam DC photoelectric sensor with a polarized retroreflective sensing mode and a 3 m (3000 mm) maximum detection range, making it well-suited for small-part presence/absence checks on automated lines. This self-contained unit features a 650 nm visible red LED, a 10–30 V DC supply, and bipolar output (NPN/PNP) with a M12 quick-disconnect on a 0.3 m pigtail cable, all housed in a thermoplastic rectangular enclosure with M18 mounting. It carries IP67 and NEMA 4X ratings, supports light/dark operate, and operates across a temperature range of -20 to 70 C with an output response time of 1 ms.
