Banner Engineering SM312VAGQD Photoelectric Sensor

The Banner SM312LVAGQD Mini-Beam polarized retroreflective photoelectric sensor detects object presence in a 50 mm to 2 m range using a polarized retroreflective beam and is part of Banner’s compact Mini-Beam DC Voltage Series. It runs on 10–30 V DC and offers a two-output bipolar interface (one NPN, one PNP) through a 4-pin M12 quick-disconnect, enabling straightforward wiring to common automation controllers. The sensor is IP67 rated and NEMA 4X compatible, built for harsh industrial environments, and includes a visible red LED indicator for status. It supports Dark-ON and Light-ON operation to accommodate different target surfaces and lighting conditions, with a fast response time of about 1 ms to support high-speed sensing tasks. The miniature form factor of the Mini-Beam series makes this device suitable for tight spaces while providing reliable, polarized retroreflective sensing across typical automation applications.
