Banner Engineering SM31E Photoelectric Sensor is the emitter half of Banner’s Mini-Beam through-beam sensor pair, used for fast, precise presence/absence detection on conveyors and automation equipment. In an opposed-emitter setup, the SM31E emits an infrared beam at 880 nm across a 3 m gap to a companion SM31R receiver; beam interruption signals the sensed event. It operates on 10–30 V DC and is available in pre-wired variants for quick installation, with an 18 mm mounting footprint typical of the Mini-Beam family. This emitter belongs to Banner’s Mini-Beam DC Voltage Series and is designed for compact, rugged industrial environments where a dedicated emitter is paired with a receiver to form a reliable through-beam sensor.
