Banner Engineering SM31E Photoelectric Sensor is the emitter half of Banner’s compact MINI-BEAM through-beam pair, delivering reliable detection across a 3 m range. The SM31E emits infrared light at 880 nm in an opposed-emitter configuration to work with a companion SM31R receiver, and it operates from 10 to 30 V DC with a 2 m (6.5 ft) pre-wired cable for easy integration. As the emitter, it provides a steady IR beam across the sensing gap, supporting applications such as conveyor presence checks, part detection on assembly lines, and non-contact sensing where a separate receiver handles the switching output.
