Banner Engineering SM31EL Mini Beam Photoelectric Sensor

Banner Engineering's SM31EL Mini-Beam DC Voltage Emitter is a compact through-beam photoelectric light source that enables long-range detection up to 30 m (100 ft) when paired with a compatible Mini-Beam receiver in an opposed-emitter configuration. It operates from a 10–30 V DC supply and ships with a 2 m (6.5 ft) cable, providing a self-contained emitter with no output relay of its own. The emitter uses an infrared beam at 880 nm to project a stable light path to the receiver, delivering reliable sensing for open gaps on conveyors or packaging lines. As the long-range emitter option in Banner's Mini-Beam DC Voltage Series, the SM31EL is designed to function as the light source in a through-beam setup, delivering dependable object detection across substantial distances when matched with the corresponding receiver such as the SM31RL.
