Banner Engineering SM31EQD Photoelectric Sensor

The SM31EQD is Banner Engineering’s Mini-Beam through-beam emitter for DC-powered photoelectric sensing. Designed to pair with a matching MINI-BEAM receiver in an opposed configuration, this emitter provides the infrared light source for beam interruption detection across a 3-meter range when powered by 10–30 V DC, and it uses a 4-pin M12 quick-disconnect connector for fast wiring. As an emitter model (QD), it has no output signal of its own and must be used with a compatible receiver to sense whether the beam path is clear or blocked. It is part of Banner’s MINI-BEAM DC Voltage Series, a compact, through-beam solution commonly deployed on production lines, conveyors, and packaging equipment where reliable remote detection between transmitter and receiver is required. The combination of a 3 m range and the DC voltage supply makes the SM31EQD suitable for small footprint setups in tight spaces or near moving machinery, where a dedicated light source is preferable to an integrated sensor.
