Banner Engineering SM31R Photoelectric Receiver

Banner Engineering's SM31R Mini-Beam Receiver is a compact, IP67-rated photoelectric receiver designed to pair with Mini-Beam emitters (for example, SM31EM/SM31EML) in opposed-beam configurations for reliable through-beam sensing. It operates on 10–30 V DC, draws up to 150 mA per output, and provides two bipolar outputs (NPN and PNP) that can be configured for dark-on or light-on operation, allowing either sinking or sourcing logic. The receiver detects an infrared beam at 880 nm across a 3 m range and ships with a 2 m (6.5 ft) cable for easy installation, with a rugged enclosure suitable for harsh industrial environments (NEMA 4X, IP67). A typical setup pairs an SM31R with an SM31EM/SM31EML emitter, and Banner’s MP-8 multiplexer can multiplex multiple emitter/receiver pairs if you need additional sensing channels; the SM31R also supports fast response time at 1 ms for rapid sensing.
