Banner Engineering SM31R Photoelectric Sensor

Banner Engineering's SM31R Mini-Beam Photoelectric Receiver is a compact, opposed-receiver element designed to work with its SM31E emitter in a through-beam arrangement to detect interruptions across a 3 m (10 ft) gap. It operates from 10–30 V DC and provides a configurable NPN/PNP output (bipolar: 1 NPN, 1 PNP) with a pre-wired 2 m (6.5 ft) cable for straightforward integration into standard control circuits. As part of the Mini-Beam DC Voltage Series, the SM31R specifies a 3 m sensing range for the opposed receiver configuration, making it suitable for tight-space sensing on conveyors, packaging lines, and other compact automation layouts where precise presence/absence detection is required. This receiver is designed to pair seamlessly with Banner’s emitters and accessories to form a complete, space-saving short-range optical sensing solution.
