Banner Engineering SM512C1 is a convergent-mode DC photoelectric sensor designed for harsh industrial environments, housed in a rugged metal body with encapsulated electronics. It uses an infrared beam with a fixed focus of 1.25 inches (32 mm) from the sensor face and a 0.025-inch (0.63 mm) sensing spot for precise close-range detection. The device provides complementary NPN outputs (one normally open and one normally closed) and operates on 10–30 V DC. The SM512C1 features a glass lens block and is part of Banner's SM512 series, optimized for tight spaces and precise object sensing in automation lines.
