Banner Engineering SMA30SEL Emitter Sensor Switch

The Banner SMA30SEL is a 30 mm bore, stainless‑steel emitter in the SM30 Series designed to act as the emitter half of an opposed‑mode photoelectric sensing pair, delivering a maximum sensing range of 150 m (150,000 mm) when paired with a compatible receiver/amplifier. It uses an infrared LED sensing beam, with a 2 m (6.5 ft) cable included for easy integration, and accepts a universal power supply from 10–30 V DC or 12–240 V AC; there is no active output from the emitter itself. The rugged housing is IP67 rated (NEMA 4X), made of stainless steel with a 30 mm barrel diameter, and is encapsulated for moisture and dust protection, featuring a two‑pin connection and not intrinsically safe. As an emitter in the SM30 platform, it relies on compatible Banner amplifiers to complete the sensing circuit, making it suitable for long‑range part presence and object detection in automation environments, including high‑humidity washdown settings (up to 90% RH @ 50°C).
