SMA30SELQD is Banner Engineering’s emitter for the SM30 through-beam sensor family, delivering up to 150 m of non-contact sensing in opposed-mode operation. As a QD variant, it uses a 3-pin quick-disconnect connector (7/8-16 UNF) for fast field connections to a compatible SM30 receiver, enabling easy replacement without rewiring. The emitter transmits infrared light toward the receiver across the beam path, with beam interruptions signaling the presence or absence of a target. It supports universal power sourcing—either 12 to 240 VAC or 10 to 30 VDC—accommodating common plant power rails. The SM30 series is a 30 mm barrel sensor platform, and the SMA30SELQD variant is specifically configured for use in long-range, through-beam arrangements where a separate receiver completes the sensing loop. Typical applications include material handling on conveyors, packaging lines, and palletizing cells where long-distance, non-contact detection is advantageous.
