Banner Engineering SMA915DJQD-28406 Photoelectric Sensor

The Banner Engineering SMA915DJQD-28406 VALU-BEAM 915 Series sensor is a Special Diffuse with Dust Cover photoelectric device that detects objects by reflected infrared light at up to 760 mm, without requiring a separate reflector. It operates from 90–130 V AC and uses an electromechanical SPDT relay output accessed via a 5-pin Mini Quick Disconnect; the rectangular thermoplastic housing is designed for M18 mounting in industrial environments. The sensing beam is infrared and configured for Diffuse sensing, with Light/Dark operate logic to suit different target reflectivity and ambient conditions. It features a 100 ms power-up delay and a 20 ms response time, enabling rapid actuation on fast conveyance lines. Ambient temperature range is -40°C to 50°C with humidity tolerance up to 90% at 50°C, supporting harsh manufacturing settings. Quick Disconnect is included (7/8 in. Mini), and the product is built as part of Banner’s VALU-BEAM 915 family, offering robust performance in dusty or challenging environments thanks to the built-in dust cover. Applications include presence/absence detection on conveyors, packaging, and machine-vision fed lines where a diffuse-mode sensor is preferred and reflector-free operation is advantageous.
