Banner Engineering SMA915F Photoelectric Sensor

Banner Engineering's SMA915F is a VALU-BEAM glass-fiber optic photoelectric sensor that uses a red 650 nm emitter and provides an SPDT electromechanical relay output for sensing decisions in automation systems. It operates from 90–130 V AC, with the standard SMA915F variant shipping with a 2 m (6.5 ft) cable and a 9 m (30 ft) version available as SMA915F W/30 for longer runs. The sensor is built on glass fiber optics, and its output can be configured for dark-on or light-on operation, depending on the wiring and amplifier stage. Because it is fiber-coupled, the effective sensing range is fiber-dependent rather than a fixed distance, making it adaptable to remote sensing heads in industrial setups.
