Banner Engineering SMB46S Sensor Mounting Bracket

SMB46S is Banner Engineering’s stainless-steel S-bracket mounting accessory designed to shield and mount Banner MINI-BEAM, PicoDot, Q14, Q23, QH23, and QM42 Series sensors in tight spaces. Made from 14-gauge 316 stainless steel and formed as a right-angle bracket, it provides lens protection while offering a stable, rigid mounting platform in challenging environments. The SMB46S uses a compact hole pattern: sensor-mounting holes with center spacing of 16.0 mm and hole dimensions 16.5 × 18.7 mm, plus a secondary 34.0 × 10.0 mm opening for bracket attachment; this pattern is compatible with Banner’s sensor families including MINI-BEAM and PicoDot. The part number is 48748. A hardware kit is included: two M3 × 0.5 × 20 mm screws, M3 hex nuts, M3 flat washers, and M3 split lock washers for sensor mounting; and two M6 × 1.0 × 12 mm screws, M6 hex nuts, M6 flat washers, and M6 split lock washers for bracket mounting, ensuring installation with standard Banner mounting hardware. The SMB46S is intended for right-angle mounting and suits industrial applications where space is limited and lens protection is desirable, such as conveyor lines, packaging machines, and automation cells using Banner’s MINI-BEAM, PicoDot, Q14, Q23, QH23, or QM42 sensors.
