Banner's SME312 Expert Series Mini-Beam Photoelectric Sensor is a compact, self-contained DC sensing device designed for fast, reliable detection in tight spaces. Part of the MINI-BEAM family, it features an 18 mm threaded lens, supports 10–30 V DC operation (with models available for AC, DC, or AC/DC universal input), and offers multiple beam options (infrared or visible red, green, blue, or white, depending on model). The Expert line includes TEACH-mode setup on select SME312E variants for quick programming. The SME312 family provides several sensing modes—diffuse, retroreflective, and convergent—with ranges that can reach up to 30 m in the appropriate configuration, making it suitable for applications such as registration-mark detection on conveyors, packaging and bottling lines, and other compact-space sensing tasks.
