The Banner SME312D Photoelectric Switch Sensor is a diffuse‑mode, non‑contact detector used in industrial automation to detect object presence, absence, or position. With a sensing range up to 380 mm and an infrared light source at 880 nm, it operates from 10–30 VDC and provides two bipolar outputs (1 NPN and 1 PNP) with a typical 1 ms response, and a selectable Light Operate or Dark Operate mode. Housed in the rectangular MINI‑BEAM industrial thermoplastic housing, it ships with a 2 m (6.5 ft) cable, offers IP67 protection, and an operating temperature range of −20 °C to +70 °C; mounting is suitable for panel or bracket installation, and adjustment is via Push Button TEACH programming.
