The Banner Engineering SME312DQD Mini-Beam Photoelectric Sensor is a compact, diffuse-mode Photoelectric Sensor in the MINI-BEAM SME312 Expert series, designed for non-contact object detection in industrial environments such as conveyors, packaging machines, and material-handling equipment where fast response and reliable sensing improve throughput. It operates in diffuse/proximity sensing mode with an 880 nm infrared LED, detecting targets up to 380 mm, and runs on 10 to 30 VDC with dual outputs (1 NPN and 1 PNP) limited to 150 mA. The sensor uses a 5-pin M12 integral Quick Disconnect in a rectangular M18-mounted housing made from reinforced thermoplastic polyester with an acrylic lens.
