Banner Engineering’s SME312DQDP-68912 Mini-Beam Series proximity sensor is a compact, 10–30 V DC device that combines proximity sensing with a diffuse mode for versatile, short-range detection up to 380 mm. Encased in an 18 mm thermoplastic rectangular housing with M18 mounting, it is IP67-rated and NEMA 4X protected for rugged environments, and it provides a 3‑pin, NPN output with a pigtail/7/8 in quick-disconnect connection. The sensor supports Proximity (general) and Diffuse (detailed) sensing modes, offers light/dark operation, and includes a teach button for on-site adjustments. A 0.3 m cable is included, with an output response time of 0.5 ms, a 1000 ms power-up delay, and 100 µs repeatability. It operates from -20 to 70 C and up to 90% relative humidity at 50 C, and its acrylic lens, encapsulated construction, and rugged design contribute to reliable performance in industrial settings.
