The SME312FVQD Mini-Beam Fiber Optic Amplifier from Banner Engineering is a compact, glass-fiber input amplifier in the MINI-BEAM Expert Series that converts a 650 nm visible red fiber signal into a discrete electrical output. It runs on 10–30 V DC and delivers a bipolar output (one NPN and one PNP) through a 4-pin M12 integral quick disconnect. Built for harsh industrial environments, it carries IP67 ingress protection and a NEMA 4X enclosure rating, with a rectangular thermoplastic housing suitable for mounting (M18). The fiber input uses glass fiber; the on-board indicator is infrared, providing status feedback. Key specifications include 100 µs repeatability, a 1,000 ms power-up delay, and a Teach button for remote teach functionality. The SME312FVQD operates from -20 to 70 C and tolerates up to 90% relative humidity at 50 C. Range is fiber-dependent, varying with the glass-fiber configuration.
