Banner Engineering SPC1 Multi Beam Safety Scanner

The SPC1 Multi-Beam Scanner is Banner Engineering's convergent-mode scanner block in the MULTI-BEAM family, a modular three- or four-wire device that combines emitter and receiver in a single compact housing and requires a separate power block and logic module. In convergent mode, the SBC1 block projects a fixed optical spot at a defined focus distance, with model SBC1-4 offering 100 mm (4 in) focus and SBC1-6 offering 150 mm (6 in) focus for precise positioning, edge-guiding, and small-part detection on opaque or reflective materials. The scanner block includes Banner's Alignment Indicating Device (AID) to aid setup, and outputs are determined by the connected power block; UL-listed and CSA-certified status applies to the overall MULTI-BEAM system (except for specific power-block models). Note that these components are not intended for personnel safety applications, as they lack self-checking redundant circuitry; they are designed for object detection, positioning, and alignment tasks in automation ecosystems when paired with the appropriate power block and logic module.
