Banner Engineering SX5-M70 Safety Laser Scanner

The Banner Engineering SX5-M70 Safety Laser Scanner is a Master-model in the SX5 series that provides programmable guarding with 70 safety zone sets and 3 OSSD safety outputs for robust, field-oriented protection. Operating on 24 V DC with an IP65 enclosure, it guards work areas from 0.05 m to 5.5 m with a maximum scanning arc of 275°, and supports selectable resolutions of 30, 40, 50, 70, or 150 mm to balance precision and speed. The device offers six safe outputs and two auxiliary outputs (OSSD up to 0.25 A at 24 V), includes a replaceable window and removable memory options (17-pin and 8-pin), and measures 152 × 112.5 × 102 mm while operating from 0 to +50 C at 95% RH; it is designed to meet Type 3; Cat 3; PLd; SIL2; SIL CL2 and certified to CE and cULus. For system integration, the SX5-M70 Master can form a UDP-based cluster with up to three remote SX5-R devices, enabling centralized monitoring and coordinated safety actions across multiple scanners on a line or in a cell.
