Banner Engineering USDINT-2T2 Safety Light Curtain Controller Module

Banner Engineering's MICRO-SCREEN USDINT-2T2 is a DIN-rail mounted safety light curtain controller module for the MICRO-SCREEN system, designed to guard the point of operation on small machinery. It operates from a 24 V DC supply and provides two trip outputs, enabling dual-safety control of connected devices. The unit supports fixed blanking as well as 1- or 2-beam floating blanking, allowing selective exposure within the guarded field. Built on Banner's microprocessor-based safety platform, the USDINT-2T2 employs diverse redundancy with two identical microprocessors that continuously monitor system components for reliability. A diagnostic display inside the controller, visible through a window in the cover, indicates the cause of a lockout, helping with troubleshooting. Configuration uses two identical DIP-switch banks (A and B) that must be set identically; power must be OFF when changing DIP settings to avoid lockout. The model weighs approximately 1.19 lb (0.54 kg). Note that the USDINT-2T2 is listed as obsolete by Banner, and Banner recommends evaluating a replacement to maintain supported safety performance.
