Banner Engineering VS2AP5RQ Opposed-Mode Receiver Sensor

VS2AP5RQ is a compact, ultra-thin opposed-mode receiver in Banner Engineering’s VS2 Series, designed to pair with the VS2 opposed-mode emitter to form a through-beam sensing pair for industrial object detection. It provides a sensing range up to 1.2 m (47 in) when used with the matching emitter, runs on 10–30 V DC, and delivers a PNP light-Operate output through a 3-pin M8 pigtail QD connection. Encased in a thermoplastic MABS housing, this receiver carries an IP67 rating (NEMA 4X) for rugged environments and operates from -20 to 55 C. The sensing beam is 940 nm, with an output response of 1 ms ON / 0.5 ms OFF, a power-up delay of 100 ms, and 100 µs repeatability, while humidity tolerance reaches up to 80% at 50 C. As part of the VS2 opposed-mode family, it is intended to work with the corresponding emitter (VS2AP5R) to detect objects positioned between the emitter and receiver.
