Barber-Coleman EA57 Actuator

Barber-Colman EA57 Actuator is a non-spring-return, medium-torque rotary actuator designed for proportional positioning of fuel valves, dampers, and similar control devices in burner and process-control systems. It provides 90° of travel with a fixed 40-second timing and up to 220 in-lbs (≈25 N·m) of torque, making it suitable for moderate-load valve modulation. Powered from 120 VAC at 50/60 Hz, the actuator includes a 100-ohm feedback slidewire and a single SPDT input switch for straightforward control. Typical applications include modulating fuel valves, butterfly valves, and dampers in burner management or combustion-control loops where precise, repeatable positioning is required. The EA57 family is compatible with Barber-Colman, Eurotherm, and Schneider Electric legacy systems, enabling retrofit in existing control architectures.
