Barnstead Thermolyne DB17615 Dri-bath Block Heater
Barnstead Thermolyne DB17615 Dri-bath Block Heater
Description:
The Barnstead/Thermolyne DB17615 Dri-Bath Block Heater is a compact, single-block dry-heat bath designed to incubate and heat samples in standard lab tubes using a fixed aluminum heating block. It runs on 120 V with about 0.63 A draw (75 W) and provides an adjustable temperature range from 25°C to 115°C with roughly ±0.7°C stability, suitable for precise, small-volume tube applications. The unit’s footprint measures 6.0 in (W) by 4.0 in (H) by 9.0 in (D) and it weighs about 3.5 lb, making it well suited for benchtop use in research or clinical labs. Built with solid anodized aluminum blocks for rapid, uniform heat transfer, it includes a thermometer well to monitor block temperature, and an optional 6-inch thermometer accessory (30–100°C, 1°C divisions) is available for direct readouts. Designed for common tube sizes, it accommodates 4 mL/13 mm and 14 mL/25 mm tubes, with heat-up to 100°C typically around 24 minutes for 4 mL tubes and about 30 minutes for 14 mL tubes under standard conditions. The DB17615 is part of Thermolyne’s modular Dri-Bath family and can be configured as a single-block model or in other configurations with different voltages and block counts to suit varied lab workflows.
